The Utah Cooks

This is Paublo. He's the penguin from Backyardigans, the tv show Lexi is obsessed with. Lexi got three of the five animals from Backyardigans for Christmas and, after seeing how obsessed Lexi really is, Grandma Cook went and got the last two for her. Alexis hasn't let Paublo out of her sight since Christmas morning. She's slept with all five of them every night. Yesterday, I took her up to take a nap after church and she played with them for a half an hour until I finally gave up on the nap idea and brought her out! Alexis wanted to take all five of them to church yesterday and to the store on Saturday - I only let her take one and Paublo's the one she wanted!

So on Saturday when we went to the store, Alexis had Paublo in the stroller with her. I tried to watch her because I was nervous that she'd drop him, but I eventually got distracted with things in the store. I started hearing Alexis saying "Uh-Oh", but I didn't think anything of it because Alexis is ALWAYS saying "Uh-Oh". After a minute or so of Alexis repeating that, she finally turned around in the stroller and said loudly, "MA! Paub-O, Uh-Oh!" She pointed back behind me and I looked to find Paublo dropped about fifteen feet behind us. I just thought it was SO cute that Lexi yelled at me to get my attention and had the closest to a sentence she's had so far to tell me she dropped Paublo! What a cute girl! :o)
