TWO YEARS OLD!!!
I cannot believe it! Time really does fly when you're having fun and I've been having a BLAST! :o)
Six days ago, May 29th, I turned 23! Holy cow! I do NOT feel 23 years old! I can't believe I'm, like, a grown-up and stuff! It's all craziness!
And now, today, June 4th, Alexis Whitney turned 2 years old! Holy cow again! I was telling Jordan - "I feel like she IS 2, that makes sense to me! I just can't believe how fast it's gone! I feel it's only been 2 months not 2 years!"
Alexis is just SO much fun! The best little Two year old EVER! And as far as the terrible twos go, she's only bad at one thing - not listening. I can tell her not to touch something OVER and OVER again and she'll be doing it within seconds again! I guess she's more like Jordan than I thought! I can ALSO tell Jordan not to do something and two seconds later he's doing it again! Grr! Anyway! Alexis is such a sweet girl and I couldn't ask for a better one! I'll take the "problems" she gives me gladly! Those are nothing! :o)
We LOVE you, Lexi Lou! :o)
So I know all the pictures are pretty much her in this new Birthday Outfit from Grandma Cook - I'm just so in love with it! I was with her when we saw this green cardigan and I just fell in love with it! Thank you SO much, Kathleen! I LOVE IT!!! And Lexi did, too! You know how Lexi is with clothes and stuff - and SUNGLASSES! She LOVES them! THANK YOU!!! :o)
Here is a list of all the presents Lexi has gotten SO far ...
Grandma and Grandpa Hermansen gave her and her cousin, Chloe, matching birthday pajamas! She's wearing these pajamas in the pictures with the cake! Grandma and Grandpa still have Birthday money for Lexi, too. We hadn't decided what we wanted to get her yet! That's what I meant by her presents "so far". Anyways! Thanks, Mom and Dad!
Grandma and Grandpa Cook got her a magna-doodle for our drive home, a bowling set and this adorable outfit that she's wearing in all these pictures! Thank you SO much, Dave and Kathleen! You two are awesome and she LOVES all three gifts!
Jared and Catherine and Emma, Jordan's brother's family, gave Lexi an adorable magnetized "paper-doll". She LOVES it! She played with it the WHOLE way home from New York! Thank you guys SO much! You didn't have to get her a gift! You guys are so sweet! We love you guys! (By-the-way - they also got ME a present, too. I forgot to list MY presents in the last post. I got the pedicure and lunch from Kathleen, as well as the soundtrack to "The Holiday", which I totally LOVE! Oh - and I got truffles from Kathleen, too - she knows me SO well! :o) Jared and Catherine gave me an awesome cook-books of dinners to make ahead of time and freeze until you're ready for them! AWESOME idea! Thank you, guys! My parents also gave me some Mula - yea! - and a skirt, some earrings that I've wanted for a while now and KUNG FU PANDA on DVD! THANK YOU!!! Love you all SO much!!!)
Today, Jordan and I got Alexis this cute Little People Car set with a car, a mommy, a baby and a stroller. Emma had this set and Lexi LOVED it in New York! We also got her one of those "puzzle" things that has the cut-out animals. I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about or not - but yeah. We also are going to get her something more. We, again, just don't know what we'll get her yet! :o) ANYWAY! That was today!
I just wanna say - I'm SO thankful for Lexi girl! She is SO fun and I'm SO happy she's mine! Thank you, God ... is that sac-religous!? ;o)
Love you all!

New York Trip ...
Ok. So I'm not going to go through and label each picture like I usually do ... I'm still tired from the two day drive back! :o)
We were SO lucky and blessed to be able to go out to New York, visit family and drive a car back to sell. Jordan's parents became our investors for this car! They paid for Jordan's flight out, the car, gas, food, hotel, everything! We are so thankful that they did this for us so we could come out! Hopefully we'll make lots of profit on the car for them! :o)
We went out on Tuesday, May 19th, and arrived in the afternooon. The flights were nice. Lexi wasn't too bad and I didn't have any break downs ... I don't like flying much - I have a rediculous fear of airplanes and heights put together. On the second flight, I was close - it was a smaller plane than I'd ever been on before and that made me nervous. Of course, though, everything was fine! Lexi really did better than me! :o)
The first week, we were just with Dave, Kathleen and Spencer! It was fun! We watched the NBA games every night - which was fun, though tiring for me! - went out to a movie, Star Treck, which was AWESOME, and just hung out! It was lots of fun. That first Sunday, Jordan's older brother, Jared, and his wife, Catherine, and daughter, Emma, arrived. They moved to New York as Jared just graduated Law School and got an awesome job offer there! Great job, Jared, by the way! :o) Emma is 8 months younger than Lexi, almost, and they just had so much fun together! Emma had a friend in Minneapolis that she called "Ky" and that became Lexi's new name! Lexi also made changes to Emma's name, calling her "E-mama"! :o) They, of course, like all toddlers, had their moments. But all-in-all, they were GREAT together! Every morning calling for each other, every night crying for each other! They both miss each other very much, now that we're gone, too! :o)
So that second week we were there, I had my birthday! That was fun to be there for my birthday! Kathleen took Catherine and I out for our first pedicures and to lunch. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and I got an embarassing song sung to me with a big candle on my slice of cheesecake! They even wrote "Happy Birthday to You" around the edges of the plate with chocolate! Mmmm! :o) We then went to a local carnival! That was fun! Alexis LOVED all the lights! It was WAY past bed-time, but she was in a trance! She was pooped afterward! It was probably pretty overwhelming to her! :o) The second and last Sunday we were there, we also had a small celebration for Lexi's birthday! It was so fun! She got a huge magna-doodle from Grandma and Grandpa along with a bowling set that she LOVES. And Jared, Catherine and Emma gave her this cute little paper-doll thing but magnetic! She LOVES that, too! Thanks everyone! :o)
On Tuesday, June 2nd, we started our two day drive back. By the way, Happy Birthday to David on the 2nd - sorry I totally spaced calling - you understand, since I was driving with two two-year-olds across the country ... you know, Alexis was almost two and Jordan acts two ... ;o) Our first day we drove clear to Lincoln, Nebraska! Wow! We were POOPED! Alexis was SO good! We didn't even have to break out the Portable DVD player! She only fussed a little and it was only for a few seconds! :o) The second day was better time-wise, but Lexi wasn't as patient. She was still AWESOME, though! We got home around 9:30 and she went right to bed and slept GREAT!
This morning we woke up and she was asking again to go for a drive! :o) What a cutie pie! Today was also her 2nd Birthday ... I'll do a seperate post for that one, though! :o)
Welp - that was the last two weeks of our life. It was way fun and we miss all the Cooks in New York VERY much! We can't WAIT for Dallon to get home this October! Christmas is going to be a BLAST this year!
Now back to our normal lives. Back to me not being able to sleep in. Back to me having to find random time to shower. Back to work. Back to washing dishes. Don't get me wrong, by-the-way. I don't mind the normal everyday! I just loved being in New York! It's just so nice to go on vacation and get extra help from husbands and sleep in and what not! Anyway! :o)
Here are lots of pictures to go along with everything I said! Love you all!
