Just so you know ...

So I finished the first and second books ... I am just giving my recommendation for these books. They were so gripping! I could NOT put them DOWN! Even now that I am done reading them, I can't stop thinking about them, day-dreaming about what the next book will be about ... I'm going through withdrawals, these books were so good!

Book 1: The Hunger Games
Book 2: Catching Fire

Both by Suzanne Collins

Don't know why ...

Don't know why, but it has taken me so long to finally read this book. I just really have to be in the mood to read ... and dedicate at least two or three days to reading! :o) Kathleen, my amazing mother-in-law, gave me this book, "Hunger Games", for Christmas this past year ... wow, almost ten months ago ... after my friend, Julie, suggested I read it. So, yeah, it's so good! I started reading it earlier today, about two hours ago - I'm a slow reader, but I'm on page 100 ... and I don't know if I'll be putting this one down and going to sleep tonight! I'm hooked ... and already planning my trip to Walmart tomorrow to buy book number two!!! Yeah, so if you are looking for a good book to read, I suggest this one! Way good! :o)

Yaren, the (temp) kitty.

Here are a few pictures of our (temp) kitty, Yaren. A little background info on the name - it means "yeti". Her older sister, Skookum, is owned by Dave and Kathleen, Jordan's parents. Skookum is another name for "bigfoot", etc. So we wanted to name our kitty and Skooky's little sister a similar name. Anyway! We are SO sad that we couldn't keep her! Stupid landlord! :o( Lexi cried all day on Sunday, knowing that we were "taking the kitty home" that night. She asked us a few times yesterday, Monday, where the kitty was. We'd say that the kitty went home and Lexi would say, "No home ... Lexi's home!" Poor thing. She just didn't understand. Not that we can blame her - it's hard for us to understand why our landlord wouldn't accept an extra about $360 total (at least!) for us to keep the kitty. Weirdo. :o( Anyway - So we took Lexi to the store last night before bedtime and bought her a replacement kitty, the last picture.
