Not much new going on ...

I made the mistake of leaving the portable DVD player on the table where it was in Lexi's plain sight all day every day. I'm working out one morning, so I'm using the tv. Alexis finished her breakfast and wanted to watch a movie. I was within five minutes of being done, so I told Lexi to wait a few minutes. Just as I'm finishing and turn off my DVD, I turn around to see Lexi, up on the chair, pulling the table-cloth toward her so she can reach the DVD player! Smart girl! :o)


So I am SO happy it has taken Alexis so long to get into the toilet paper! This was the first time that she REALLY got into the toilet paper! She came running up to me with some in her hand, showing me so proudly! What a cutie pie! :o)


We were getting ready to go to a friend's house and I didn't want Alexis to get pizza sauce on her new shirt and dress! :o) Alexis, by the way, LOVES pizza!


Hmmm ... what was Jordan doing before work this morning? I love how every morning, Jordan sets his alarm for a half an hour earlier than he really needs to leave and tells me that he's getting up to get ready ... and he forgets to hide the evidence every morning! :o)


Lexi LOVES her books! This is one of her favorite books, What Animals Live in the Rain Forest! She LOVES the elephant! :o)


I saw this ad in a magazine one day and thought it was TOTALLY Jordan. Two guys looking at a girl walk by in a bikini, one thinking she's a 10 and the other thinking he'd like to marry her ... and then there's the other guy, looking at the girl, acting like he's paying attention, but thinking about a Porsche Car! Yup ... Jordan!!! :o)


Alexis is SUCH a GIRL!!! I love how she's always wanting to put on my high heels and push her doll stroller around! It's funny, she doesn't seem WAY into baby dolls, but she loves pushing the stroller around with OTHER stuff in it! I think she's playing like it's a shopping cart! :o) Sorry, Jordan! ;o)


Alexis LOVES music! She's constantly coming to me all day, asking to put on music and dance! She is pretty good for an almost two year old with keeping the beat, patting her cute little hand on my back or shoulder as I dance with her in my arms! She's always running over to my keyboard and putting on some Beat ... and then leaving it on and driving me CRAZY while I do dishes! :o) We've had MANY people tell us that we should teach her the drums while she's really young because she already has the desire to play and stuff! :o)


Like I said ... Alexis LOVES music! She's always asking me for my MP3 player! It's so funny because the ear-things will fall out and she'll yell "Uh-Oh!" until I run over and put them back in for her! :o)

Learning from Daddy! Alexis loves to put on the ear-phones that go to the X-box! :o) Just wants to be like Daddy! :o)


We get home from the park and need to put Lexi to bed. I ask Jordan to give her a string cheese before we put her down. I look over at him as he pulls off a teeny section and gives it to Lexi. I continue to watch as Jordan pulls off a bigger section, at least twice the size, and sticks it in his mouth! :o) If you look at his mouth, you can see the cheese in Jordan's mouth! :o) Jordan always says to Lexi, "One for you ... two for me!" :o)


The next morning is Sunday. About half way through church, Alexis is fussing and has a high temperature! I just felt so bad for her! She has been sick three times in the past month! Poor girl! This is after church and a nap, laying on the couch with puffy, red eyes! Poor thing! :o(


Alexis is a Momma's girl 99% of the time ... but every now and then, she just wants to lay with Daddy! :o)


Alexis is such a girl in SO many ways ... and that doesn't exclude loving to talk and talk and talk on the phone! :o)

This toy was actually mine when I was literally Alexis' age! Alexis LOVES it! It drives Jordan crazy! He wants to know exactly how it works! I've told him my theories a billion times, but he wants to get a hold of some patents and blue-prints and find out the "SCIENCE" of how this toy works! :o)

Just before Alexis and I got back from Texas, Jordan went out and bought us a couple of presents. He got me a very pretty necklace and Alexis this cute hat! Alexis usually likes hats, but doesn't want to wear them. Earlier today when Jordan was gone working, Alexis wanted to go for a drive. She saw the hat as we were leaving the house and wanted to put it on! She wore it for the entire drive, it was so cute! Of course, once we got back to the house and I wanted to show Jordan that she wore the hat, she took it off and didn't want to put it back on! :o)


Can you tell?! Alexis put her shoes on all by herself today! :o)

Back in Utah!

Now, I know I have been a horrible blogger! I just posted 5 posts today, I think, and they are all backwards - they go from most recent to least recent ... I guess it's only backwards depending on how you look at it! ANYWAY! We're back in Utah and settled again - I think Alexis was really getting confused about why we are packing up and taking her somewhere every month! :o) We do miss all the Vicks! It was way fun being in Texas with them! Love you all!

TEXAS!!!

I went down to Texas for a week and a half to babysit my Niece and Nephews for my sister, Brooke. It was so fun! Of course, it was tiring to all of a sudden have five kids to take care of and feed and get dressed and brush teeth and ENTERTAIN!!! But it was a blast! I loved it and I miss them all so much!!! Love you guys!!!


Painting! Alexis in the high chair, Brenden next to her, Ashlyn next and Caden in front. Isaac was up taking a nap. They were all so cute when they were painting. Ashlyn kept turning to Caden and telling him he was doing such a good job ... she'd then come whisper to me that he wasn't really doing that good! :o) Brenden kept turning to Alexis and giving her big hugs! It was all just so sweet!


Alexis quickly learned where all the phones in the house were. She'd grab a phone, push a few buttons and hold it to her ear saying, "Dada?" It was so cute! I'd ask her if she wanted to call Daddy and she's just shake her head like "of course not!" Then she'd run off with the phone, saying "Dada" and continuing to babble as if to tattle on me for trying to take the phone away! :o)


I don't think Alexis quite understood that Isaac was still a little too young to be "playing" with her! Whenever Isaac would be crawling toward Alexis, she would run up to me, laughing and screaming, and hide in my legs. After a few seconds, she'd look back at Isaac like, "Hello! You're supposed to be chasing me!" It was so funny! :o)


One day, Caden had a tummy-ache. We didn't want him to throw up on anything, so I let him have this bowl with him. Eventually, Caden got up and started playing and what not and totally forgot about the bowl. Alexis went and claimed it, playing with it like it was a hat! She kept signing hat, too! It was so cute! :o)


Princess Alexis! She loved putting this tiara on! Pretty girl! :o)


Caden pulled his shirt over his head this one day and said, "I'm a telletubby!" :o) What a cutie pie!!!


Caden cuddling with Alexis while watching WALL-E! Caden was so stinkin' sweet! He kept telling me and Alexis how much he loved us and wanted us to sleep with him in his bed and stuff! One night that he wanted me to sleep in his bed, I told him that I was too big and there wasn't enough room for me! He just smiled and said, "Well, we can scoot and scoot and scoot until there's enough room for you, Sissy!" So sweet! And that's another thing. All my nieces and nephews call me Aunt Sissy, but Caden just called me Sissy. I LOVED it! :o)


PRIZES!!! The kids all got prizes everyday! They were so excited and talked about them all day long ... and it was nice to use that to my advantage and help them obey and be good and happy with each other! :o)

It was getting closer and closer to Alexis' nap-time! She was so tired! I tried to offer her my leg to lay on, but she wanted the floor! Silly girl! :o)

Brenden got a cute little trophy after his basketball game! It was a little bobble-head! Brenden loved it and went on and on about his "bob"-head trophy! :o)

This was the last night that I was watching all the kids! Caden looks about as tired as I feel! It was fun, but man I was pooped! :o)


All of Brooke's kids like to suck on their fingers and play with their belly buttons! It's so cute! :o) They aren't playing with their belly buttons here, but they all did a few times the week and a half I was there! :o)


WALL-E! This is Alexis' new favorite movie! She would walk around all day with her finger in her mouth and say, "Wa-wa!" I don't know where she got the sticking her finger in her mouth while she said it, but that was the "sign" for WALL-E! What a cutie pie! Now, Brooke, I just want you to know that Caden wasn't actually sitting on the foot-rest-thing (I can't think of what they're called right now!)! He might've for a second, but all the kids were very good with staying off of the foot-rest-thing! :o0


Isaac was SO much fun! I loved him and I'm pretty sure he loved me, too! After everyone got home and he had Mommy and Daddy back, he actually WANTED me to hold him and stuff! So sweet! This was just before everyone got home! Isaac had messed and I was waiting for some clothes to get out of the dryer (and Alexis was sleeping where all his other clothes were) so I cuddled him up in this blanket, which he loved! SO cute! :o)


Brenden and Isaac playing with paper airplanes with Grandpa! They both got huge kicks out of it when Grandpa would make the plane fly in a circle and come back and land on his lap! :o)


So sweet! Grandpa and Isaac! Isaac always gives everyone this adoring look! He's just so sweet! :o)

It was SO fun being in Texas! It was tiring and it wore me out, but I miss it! I love Ashlyn, Brenden, Caden, Isaac and, of course, Brooke and Jer! I wish we could've spent more time with you guys!!! And Alexis has been wondering around with no friends and nothing to do (and no WALL-E)! I asked her the first day we were back home if she missed her cousins and Alexis got this excited face and tried to say "friends", which is what we call all younger kids that Alexis can play with! :o)
