First thing when we got into the apartment, we decided to try out converting Lexi's crib into a toddler bed. I was so excited when we first set it up! :o) My little girl is getting so big!!!

This was the first night in the toddler bed. She had been asleep for an hour or so and I went in to check if she was still in the bed and not falling out or anything. She was sound asleep and it was just too cute to miss getting a picture. She slept like a, no-pun intended, baby that first night in the toddler bed! :o) I like how "Stitches", the stuffed monkey, is hanging off the edge with that big cheesy grin! :o)

This was day two of the toddler bed test. This was nap time and I knew it'd be harder for her to stay in when it was light and stuff. I was right. She was down playing with toys when Jordan went in to check on her the first time and he had to tell her to get back in bed and take a nap ... and that hurt her cute little girl feelings! :o) When I went in about a half an hour later, she was asleep on the floor like this - another moment too cute to pass up getting a picture of! :o) This, sadly ... and happily ... ended the toddler bed testing. That night she woke up probably five times crying. She was still sitting in her bed, but I think she was freaked out about not being secured inside some walls or something - funny how it's opposite as you get older! :o) We tried one more night after that, napping her in the porta-crib, but she was even worse the following night. Oh well - we'll try that one again later! She IS only 20 months old! :o)

While going through boxes of things after we moved in, we found a box with our jackets mixed together. When Jordan picked up this one, I said, "That ones mine." He insisted it was his and so I told him to try it on. I was right! :o)

After just one day, Alexis figured out where the Backyardigans and Baby Signing Time DVDs were. We moved them because she was begging constantly to watch them. We hid them in this cupboard that was blocked for now by the huge bin thing. It didn't take Lexi long to figure out they were there, too. She climbed behind the bin, getting stuck, but determined to get her Backyardigans! :o) I found a good place now, though! It's behind glass doors displaying a picture of Jordan and I in front of the DVDs. That way Alexis gets distracted by the picture of us and has to say, "Momma! Dadda!" :o)

Pushing around her baby doll in her doll stroller. She LOVES this SO much! I thought it was so cute how she was holding her cell phone-bag on one hand and her purse on her other arm! What a cutie pie!

Alexis likes to walk up to her bed and just ... stand there sometimes! She's so cute. I can already see a huge imagination in her. She's ALWAYS pretending and talking with her dolls and on her fake phone ... I just wonder if that's what she's doing here, too. :o)

Ready to go to church, so cute in her long Christmas Dress and her hair pulled back in piggy-tails! :o) SO STINKIN' CUTE!!! :o)

This is how Jordan helps. Yeah, I guess it keeps her happy, entertained and gives me a minute to cook or clean. I still think it's funny. He puts on Planet Earth for her (HA), blocks her way of getting out and lays back! :o) Alexis is actually really liking Planet Earth ... when it's not forced upon her. She got up from her nap the other day and went right over to the entertainment center and pulled it out and started begging me! :o)

Trying to put off changing her diaper and clothes for bed-time ... it worked! She won a few minutes more! :o)

I just got finished changing her diaper and putting on pajamas. Then she wants to stay laying on the floor and watch one last episode of Backyardigans before bed-time!

She's starting to get this really cheesy grin whenever I pull out the camera! What a weirdy! :o)

Showing us her teeth! Alexis can point out lots of body parts: Eyes, ears, mouth, nose, teeth, hair, head, button (belly), knees, toes and fingers.

Alexis always gets such a kick out of her Daddy! She always gets laughing so hard, especially right before we put her to bed! She's going to be one of those girl that acts crazy and giggly when she stays up too late! :o)

Getting tickled. I don't know anyone, kids included, that love being tickled as much as Alexis does. When she was just a baby, I was tickling her one time at my Mom and Dad's house. She was laughing so hard she couldn't breathe and my Mom kept telling me to stop, that I was torturing her! I'd stop and within seconds, Alexis would be kicking me, trying to get me to continue tickling her! She's MY baby! I absolutely LOVE tickling people. Don't you dare tickle me, though. I can dish it out but I CAN'T take it! :o)

Daddy was playing with Alexis when he lifted her up like this and I was shocked. I just thought she looked SO tall and grown up! Her long legs hanging down and all. She's just growing up SO fast!

Just a normal morning in the life of the Cooks. We usually get up when Alexis starts to fuss. Jordan then fumbles to the couch, still half asleep, and I put Alexis in her high chair. Jordan pulls out the Wii remote and turns on Super Smash Brothers Brawl (woo-hoo). I make breakfast and Alexis watches her Daddy. Now, don't you just feel like you spent the whole first hour of our morning with us?! :o)

Lexi loves to sing songs! Just yesterday at church while we were singing the closing hymn, the lady sitting behind us tapped me on the shoulder and asked me how old Alexis was. I told her that she was almost 20 months and the lady said, "Omigoodness! I've never seen such a young child have such a love for music!" I looked over and Alexis and she was, as usual, dancing, "singing" and even "leading" the music. We're pretty proud of her. When Jordan gave her her baby blessing, he DID bless her with a love for music, since music is VERY important to Jordan and I. She's so wonderful! This is her singing "Jesus wants me for a sunBEAM". She, obviously, LOVES the "beam" part! :o) She also "sings" and does the motions for the "Tiny Turtle" song that we sing in our family. I just finished putting it on Youtube! Go check it out. youtube.com/theproudmommy
Love you all!
