Being Right, Pillowcases and Backyardigans.

I just thought I'd post a few funny things that I thought were kinda funny this morning.

First of all, I'm sick of boxes and stuff being all over the place and in our way, so this morning I had Jordan get out of bed and help me move some stuff out to the shed. He, of course, didn't really want to do it and both of us were annoyed and argued a bit while we were moving the stuff out. I wanted everything out and Jordan didn't understand. After we were done and I vacuumed, Jordan walked in and said, "Wow. I understand why you wanted those things moved now. It looks MUCH better in here." I wanted to smack him upside the head and say, "DUH!" I don't get why he doesn't listen to me and just KNOW that I'm right in the first place yet! :o)

Second, I was putting some new pillowcases on this morning and I remembered something that Jordan said two weeks ago when we first got here. We were putting the pillowcases and sheets on our bed that first night and Jordan wasn't doing the pillowcase. I asked him why he wasn't doing it and he said, "I don't know how to put pillowcases on." Now, I don't know if he was just saying that so I would do it or if he honestly doesn't know how to put pillowcases on. Either way, I thought that was hilarious ... and a bit sad! :o)

Third, Alexis now has a Backyardigans Routine - sad, I know. :o) She'll watch an episode just before nap time and an episode just before bed time. This morning, Jordan took her outside for a while, which she LOVES. She didn't want to come back inside and when Jordan was leaving for work, she really wanted to go outside with him. I'm doing laundry so I'm just in PJs so I can't take her outside yet. I told her that we'd go later and shut the door. I even turned off the light and went into the family room down the hall. I was expecting her to follow me and when she didn't, I started calling for her. She just wouldn't leave the front door. I went and looked at her and she was just standing there. At least she wasn't screaming. So, anyway, I go back to the family and finish vacuuming and stuff, still expecting Lexi to give up and come back in and play. After about ten minutes, I look at the clock and realize it's getting close to nap time. I just start singing, "Your backyard friends ...", the beginning of the Backyardigans Theme Song. Before I get any farther, I hear a high-pitched, excited scream come from the front door. I wait as I hear little footsteps climbing down the stairs and running down the hall to the family room! By the time Lexi got in the room, she was singing and dancing and yelling, "PAUBLO!" It was just so cute!

Love you all,

~Kristen~

Men... [insert eye rolling]... doesn't know why you want the boxes out of the way? Puh-lease! And the pillow cases? Ten bucks says he was just trying to get out of putting them on!
