Lots Of Pictures!

Quick note first off - I am blonde and can't always remember how posting the pictures on this site works out - so my pictures are all backwards, but that's ok. The older pictures are further down the page. Most recent are at the top. Whatever.

This first picture of Alexis is one of my favorites! It's her new Christmas dress. After Thanksgiving dinner, Alexis had a ... surprise waiting in her diaper ... well, coming out of her diaper for us! Yucko! We changed her diaper and decided to try on her Christmas dress again - now that Thanksgiving is over and we can officially start celebrating Christmas! Yea!!!

This picture was just before Thanksgiving dinner. Alexis is all cute and dressed up for the holiday! She was sitting in her high chair, conveniently for her facing the wall where the phone is hung up. She points over and the phone, yells, then holds her hand up to her ear like she's holding a phone! What a cutie pie! I roll my eyes and laugh every time she does it, but it's just too cute, so I give her the phone! Grandma Cook was standing right there - I turned to her and said, "I don't get how you're not supposed to spoil your kids. You either listen to them yell and scream or you give them what they want!" She laughed. I don't know if that means "you should just let them scream" or "just spoil them"! :o)

Alexis officially ate by herself this morning! Jordan handed her the spoon, put the bowl in front of her ... and I bathed her afterward! :o) The problem with this was that she isn't quite ... well, good at it, but now she doesn't want me to feed her. Oh, the joys of parenthood! :o)

This picture was taken last night (the night before Thanksgiving). Grandma Cook loved how Alexis totally posed for the picture. Jordan calls me her paparazzi! I just love my baby girl! I want to have lots of pictures of her! So sue me! :o)

So Grandma and Grandpa Cook took us to this Children's Museum place! It was tons of fun! Alexis loved all the things there for her! Jordan ... really enjoyed it, too! :o) Uncle Spencer has a whole list of things that Jordan uses Lexi as an excuse to go and do! He also used her so we could go to the library and watch the bubble man! :o) This was the last thing that we did at the Children's Museum. I know - the pictures are all backwards!

This wasn't the best picture, but Alexis was getting fidgety by then. She loved Curious George, but just didn't want to hold still for the picture. She was still making monkey noises, though! :o)

This little mini kitchen was just so cute! Alexis isn't quite old enough for it to hold any interest for her yet, but I just loved it! The two little girls in there already were so cute. Grandma asked them if what they were doing and one was like, "Oh, I'm just washing the veggies," and the other was like, "We're just cooking dinner!" What cuties! I can't wait to play make-believe with Lexi!

So $5 per person and Lexi ... wants to climb up and down the stupid stairs! :o) This girl is obsessed with stairs! There are two staircases at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She climbs them all day. She's even fallen down both of them ... in one day, too! But Alexis forgave and forgot! She just loves going up and down and up and down! Weirdo! :o)

This shopping area was my other favorite part! They had the shopping carts and all the isles of food, then some check out stands! It was so fun! They even had a "children's play area" so the mommys could shop and the kiddies could play! :o) Alexis enjoyed that area for half the time in the shopping area. I'm sure she didn't quite understand that the shopping part was supposed to be fun for her! :o) Just kidding! I think she LOVED the baby-sized grocery store! :o)

Isn't she just so cute, putting the orange juice in the shopping cart! She looked so grown up, I wanted to cry! She's just SO stinkin' CUTE!

Alexis has actually never seen Sesame Street. She's too obsessed with Backyardigans ... too bad they didn't have a Backyardigans area ... of course Lexi would've never left! :o) Anyway! This picture is for Lexi's friend back in Ogden, Mylee! Mylee loves Sesame Street and especially Elmo! So, this is for you, Mysters! :o)

Stairs Again! Give it a break, kiddo! :o)

Again, the pictures are backwards - but this is the first thing that Lexi ran for when we got inside this place! Daddy has done a VERY good job of making Lexi LOVE cars! She loves little hot-wheels, she'll sit on Daddy's lap and watch car shows ... and she runs straight for the cars! This little girl was sweet enough to not only let Lexi sit in the car with her and take over the steering wheel, but she even put her arm around Lexi and talked to her! So sweet! Thanks, random little girl! :o)

Our Little Driver! So cute!

In between turns riding in the cars, Alexis ran over to this little room. It was set up all slanted and stuff with a video camera and screen. Alexis just LOVES seeing herself on screen or in mirrors. Vain Baby Girl! So sweet!

She's even POSING in this one! So cute! :o)

This was the first picture in the Children's Museum. Like I said, she ran straight for the cars. This little boy was already in the car and Lexi just stood next to the car and stared in wonder inside for a few minutes. It's just so cute to see so much interest in such a little person! :o)

After waking up from a nap, Lexi sat down in front of the piano. After "playing" a few "songs", I said to her, "Where's Daddy?!" She turned up to look at me and I snapped this picture! Isn't the excitement from simply hearing Daddy's "name" just so sweet!? :o)

So we went and searched for Daddy. Eventually, Lexi heard Daddy's voice coming from behind the bathroom door. When I opened it and Lexi really heard his voice clearly, she looked up at me as I snapped this picture! Still so much excitement! SO sweet!!!

Playing the piano is now one of Lexi's favorite things to do! There's even been a few times where she'll be sitting there playing and I'll hear her start to "sing" along! :o)

Alexis decided she wanted to lay down ... in the kitty's bed/basket! She's so funny! :o) I just love the huge grin she has! :o)

I'm SO happy about this! Alexis is finally starting to LOVE her baths!!! The only bad thing is that now she yells and screams when I take her out! :o)

After a nice warm bath, Lexi usually lets me do her hair! This day, I decided we'd do matching hair. She didn't want to sit still for the picture, but I just thought it was cute anyway! :o)

When Alexis is sitting next to Skooki, the kitty, she thinks that she needs to be as close to the kitty as possible. She scoots so close that Skooki is between Lexi's legs. This usually freaks Skooki out and she runs off! Poor Lexi. :o)

Getting ready to go outside and play! Jordan and I were blowing the leaves and mowing the lawn, so Lexi needed to come out and play with us! She loves her boots and hat! So cute!

Running around outside while Jordan and I were working! For the first half of the time, I think she was really freaked out by the leaf-blower. She stood there, frozen in place. It was so cute.

Daddy really freaks out when something is smelly. He has taught Alexis that when something is smelly to pull your shirt up over your nose. I just think she looked to cute and silly! :o)

Again - the pictures are backwards - so this is actually the beginning of our little day-trip outside. This was back when the weather was still nice. We went to the fish hatchery, then to the park and took a walk down the stream. This is the walk down the stream. Alexis loves being on Daddy's shoulders when we're outside. :o)

This was during the park time. Again, Alexis LOVES cars. She ran over to this bouncy car and hopped right in. She loved it! :o)

Alexis usually likes to swing, but she loved it this day! She laughed and smiled! It was so sweet! :o)

I got tons of pictures with big huge grins on this swing. She really enjoyed it that day! :o)

Alexis ALWAYS loves the slides! :o)

The fish hatchery was fun. I don't even like fish! :o) We got some fish food and threw it to all the fish and they'd all swim on top of each other and jump out of the water for the food! It was fun. And Lexi loved it!

She was getting sick of us having to hold her. It just made me so nervous to have her down. I didn't want her to fall into the water with the fish ... Yuck!!!

This is Skooki! Alexis loves chasing her behind the couch. We actually have a picture of Alexis chasing after her behind the couch. I must have misplaced it. Later. :o)

I know this was a big huge long novel tonight! That's why I do posts so often - so I don't have to spend three hours doing a post per three weeks!!! :o) I hope you all enjoy! We love you! Happy Thanksgiving and yea for Christmas coming now!!! :o)
